The owners of Spa Seven are an esthetician and massage therapist who’ve put an emphasis on a tranquil environment featuring holistic and healing treatments. Their Shiatsu treatment, called Golden Fish, involves rocking the client back and forth into the safety of his/her own body, with an optional half hour for Qi Gong. Also popular are abdominal massage for those recovering from surgery, and prenatal massage. Spa Seven is phasing out its yoga studio and instead is making that room into a relaxation area, with teas, books and comfortable seating. Clients can also relax on the second-floor, outdoor patio, which is surrounded by jasmine plants and has views of San Francisco’s rooftops.
