Starting with a dosha analysis, spa therapists tailor massage or facial techniques with specific oils and herbs designed
to address dosha imbalances. The Shiro Dhara treatment, for example, starts with chest, shoulder, neck and facial massage, and ends with a gentle stream of warm oil poured continuously over the forehead, the area known as the “third eye,” to calm the nervous system and soothe the senses.
