Located in a loft on the second floor of a renovated warehouse, this small, intimate spa offers a range of Ayurvedic treatments designed to be full mind/body experiences. The Moroccan decor, along with some Indonesian influence, adds to the feeling of peace once you enter Aequis, and treatments are much more than they appear. Each facial therapy, for example, includes an extensive acupressure arm and hand massage, a spa foot soak, and the spa’s Sambara scalp treatment, which is an application to the head of warm refined jojoba oil with herbal and pure essences, acupressure massage, stimulating brushing and a hot towel wrap.
Treatments can be customized into imaginative packages — or try a featured spa package, such as the lemongrass foot bath followed by a traditional Thai massage, which is completed with a Marma Point facial rebalancing treatment, $175.
