Nestled among the cliffs and redwoods of the gorgeous Big Sur coastline, Post Ranch Inn boasts seven architecturally significant, unique buildings, set into the woods and/or overlooking the ocean, where guests stay to fully take in the surrounding beauty. Mountain House, for example, is a circular duplexwith views ofthe Ventana Peaks and mountains from the bed, couch, tub and terrace. The design of Coast House resembles the nearby redwood trees, and is a two-story duplex with separate entrances, leather couch and coffee table in front of the fireplace, and partial or full ocean views from the bed, couch, tub and terrace. Most unusual of all is Tree House, a group of single-standing structures built nine feet off the ground on stilts, with a stairway to each entrance. Triangular in shape, each room has a bed in the center with a window seat, desk and fireplace in the corners, and each accommodates just two people. All Tree Houses are on the inland side with views of the trees and mountains from the windows and terrace.
