The resort’s activity pool is a 2,000 foot long river pool with valleys, waterslides, waterfalls, caves, rapids, grottos, a Jacuzzi and sauna, along with a water elevator that brings you from the lower levels of the pool back up to the higher levels. The Formal Pool is for adults only, while the scuba diving pool, with inlaid mosaics of sea life, offers diving lessons to guests.
Gardens surround each of the six wings housing guests, and each wing and garden contains sculptures and paintings by artists such as Fernando Botero, Pablo Picasso and Andy Warhol, as well as local artists. The centerpiece of your trip, however, is Spa Grande, which offers a huge variety of imaginative massages, body treatments and therapies, alone and in combinations, that will leave you in a state of physical and mental bliss.
The Terme Wailea Hydrotherapy Circuit is the basis to massage, facial and body treatments, and starts with a brief shower. You’ll then move on to one of the specialty baths - Moor mud, limu, aromatherapy, tropic enzyme or mineral salt - then on to the waterfall showers, Roman tub, cool plunge, steam room, sauna, Swiss jet shower and a loofah scrub.
Facials include the herbal harmony and oxygen therapy; massages include cocoa butter, vitamin E and wrap; deep Shiatsu barefoot massage; massage for two in the same room; Thai, beachside and poolside cabana; sports, Swedish and subtle energy balancer. Wraps include therapeutic moisturizing paraffin and Ali’i honey steam. Facials include Italian mud, European deep cleansing and sun lovers.
