One-day spa packages range from $302 to $474. The Executive Retreat offers hydrotherapy session, sports massage, the anti-stress facial, unlimited fitness classes, spa cuisine lunch atthe Kohala Spa Cafe and use of the spa facilities for the day. The Ali’i Renewal includes unlimited fitness classes, lunch, Lomi-Lomi massage and facial, Hawaiian salt renewal, manicure and pedicure, taking a delightful five hours of pampering.
Services: Fitness classes including Ta’i Chi, Chi Kung, water fitness, body sculpting, bench step; personal training sessions in yoga; stress management and body composition testing; reflexology, aromatheraphy and special therapeutic massages such as Lomi-Lomi, Healing Stone, Thai and Swe-Thai; body scrubs and wraps; facials, leg and feet treatments; private baths and after-sun treatments, and hair and nail care.
Facilities: Weight and cardio workout rooms and equipment, rock climbing wall, Lifecycle, cardio theater, eucalyptus steam room, lava rock sauna, outdoor whirlpool. Two championship golf courses, eight tennis courts.
Meal plans: Some packages include meals. Nine restaurants offer a range of settings and cuisine. Donatoni’s offers northern Italian on the water; Imari is a traditional Japanese teahouse setting. The Kamuela Provision Company features seafood and beef. The Kohala Spa Cafe serves healthy, low-fat breakfast and lunch, as well as teas, tonics and smoothies. Casual cuisine is available at Palm Terrace, Orchid Cafe by the pool, and salads and sandwiches at the Lagoon Grill, overlooking the Dolphin Lagoon.
Accommodations: 1,240 guest rooms and suites are divided among the low-rise Ocean, Lagoonand Palace towers. Five presidential suites are also available. Each room features tropical views and a private lanai.
