Services: A variety of fitness activities, including classes in such meditative forms as T’ai Chi and yoga, as well as more aggressive forms such as hiking, strength and cardiovascular training; an extensive variety of treatments including massage, wraps, hydrotherapy, hand, foot and skin care; consultations including nutrition and cooking, fitness evaluation, personal training and take-home programs.
Facilities: Hundreds of serene acres, including hiking trails, meditative hills, gardens, orchards and groves; strength and cardiovascular facilities, multiple gyms, pools, and tennis courts; a variety of treatment facilities.
Accommodations: 40 rooms, each for one guest only (in keeping with the policy of total rest and retreat), clustered around four courtyards: Azalea, Bell, Camellia, and Garden.
Special notes: While the Door has occasional men’s and coed weeks, most weeks are reserved exclusively for women.
